About Us - Meet the Duo!

Co-Owner + Designer

Jennifer Etheridge

I’m a “retired” elementary teacher and mother of six who left my career in education to pursue my passion for real estate and a more autonomous schedule to care for my family.

My husband and I have been flipping houses since 2016.While he works on all things structural, I focus on the finishes and design (the fun part!) I love seeing the end result when it all comes together and the home is given a new life.

That same love of making a house a home applies to my work in staging. Looking at an empty house can be overwhelming. I love to puzzle out the setup of new spaces so that buyers can imagine their lives and belongings in the home!

Callie Heatherly

Fun fact - I like to stay busy and love a good challenge! The hardest question I get asked on a regular basis is “What do you do for work?” because there isn’t a short answer! I wear many hats all the time!

When I was little, there were a few years where I decided I wanted to be an architect because I loved the creative and building aspect of things. I soon realized how much math went into that degree. Ha!

With that said, the Lord blessed us with a vision that allows for our creative side to show up and help serves others in a unique way! I have learned there is something so comforting in cozying up a house to make it feel like a home - and that is exactly what we strive to achieve with our designs!

Our Name & Story

Qavah (ka-va) Studios

We get asked alot about our name..

Our name is unique and not the easiest to pronounce - there is a story here.

Callie is blessed with some wild dreams from time to time and while searching for the right name, one night she had a dream that the name would originate from the Hebrew language. One problem - she doesn't speak Hebrew... so that sent her into a whirlwind of looking up a bunch of words til she landed on Qavah.

It is the base word for the meaning "to wait actively with anticipation, hopefully watching for God to act" (Isaiah 40:31) and "the binding together."

As soon as she read it then told Jennifer about the name - it only made sense!

Actively waiting with anticipation for growth while binding together our brains and hearts and giving all the glory to God - it stuck and here we are!
